Whether straight-through processing (STP), automation or the outsourcing of operational processing - over the last two decades, capital markets have undergone a multitude of fundamental developments. At the same time, they continue to face major challenges due to regulatory requirements such as MiFID/MiFIR, CSDR, EMIR, SFTR, MiCA or SRD. In addition, in many cases outdated core system infrastructures need to be replaced by new, flexibly scalable and cloud-based systems.
The consequences:
- Smaller banking houses are currently merging to meet the digital challenges.
- Capital market companies such as stock exchanges, clearing houses, infrastructure providers and larger banks are facing significant strains.
- There is a great need for in-depth knowledge of capital market processes and systems as well as a very good understanding of the corresponding business and regulatory landscape.
